Hospitality professional Chris Gatfield will take up the position of General Manager of the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) ACT from today.
Mr Gatfield has broad experience across the hospitality and hotel sectors. He has previously served as External Relations Manager for global beverage giant Diageo, been a senior member of staff at the AHA NSW for many years, and has a decade of experience managing hospitality venues.
“Canberra has a world-class hospitality scene, which I have been lucky enough to enjoy with friends and family over many years,” Mr Gatfield said.
“I’m thrilled to have the chance to help shape this wonderful industry over the exciting years to come.”
In addition to his new appointment as General Manager of the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) ACT, Mr Gatfield will continue in his role as AHA NSW Director of Government and Industry Affairs.
AHA ACT President Michael Capezio welcomed him to the role.
“Chris is the perfect person to help the Association chart its future course and I look forward to working together to make Canberra an even better hospitality experience for both members and their patrons”, Mr. Capezio said.
This new arrangement sees the two neighbouring AHA branches utilising senior staff and resources to maximise value for members.
